Description

Bacidin 5% concentrate solution is an antiseptic containing 5% chlorhexidine gluconate which has antibacterial and bacteriostatic properties. It is effective against a wide range of bacteria.

Indication

An antiseptic used for wounds & burns.

Disinfection of the skin before operation, Swabbing in obstetric & gynaecology.

Disinfection of instruments.

Active Ingredients

Chlorhexidine Gluconate 5%w/w

Usage

1. For disinfection of wounds and burns; swabbing in obsteric & gynaecology and storage of sterile instruments : 0.05% w/v aqueous solution.

2. For pre-operative skin disinfection, emergency disinfection by 2 minutes immersion (excluding endoscope): 0.5% w/v Alcoholic solution.

3. Sterilization of aqueous solutions: 1% or less of Bacidin. Autoclave at 115℃ for 30 minutes or 121℃ for 15 minutes.
